The Feast Or Famine Diet

May 2, 2017

Ok, it's really not called the "Feast or Famine Diet", but here's some ideas on how to get rid of those extra pounds and inches.

A new obesity study suggests that fasting every other day to lose weight is just as effective as counting calories daily. The small study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that volunteers who fasted on alternate days lost about six percent of their original body weight; people who restricted their calories every day lost 5.3 percent.

CNN says the year-long study allowed the alternate-day fasters to eat only 25-percent of their daily recommended calories. On "feasting" days, they ate up to 125-percent of their daily recommended calories.
