Meteorologists have predicted that this week will be the hottest week we have seen all year, with Heat Advisories, Code Orange/Red Ozone Alerts, and even possible Excessive Heat Warnings.

At the same time, MLGW has released the details of their planned rolling blackouts in Arlington and Lakeland.

The blackouts are unprecedented and are needed to balance power demand while MLGW works on repairing an electrical substation that exploded.

They released a map detailing which neighborhoods should expect the brunt of the blackouts (you can find it on our website).

They confirmed that the blackouts will last 4 hours and are most likely to occur between of 3 and 8:30 p.m.

About 7.000 people are affected.

MLGW says it will take 6 months to repair the substation, but they hope to have it partially operational by August 8th. (In about 2 ½ weeks)
