Celebrities React To President-Elect Donald Trump

November 9, 2016

Did Hillary Deliver A Concession Speech?

DONALD TRUMP defied just about every poll in the universe, winning battleground states like Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and flipping a bunch of states that weren't supposed to go his way, like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

HILLARY CLINTON didn't give a concession speech, but around 2:00 A.M., before the election was called, her campaign chair told her supporters to GO HOME.

But she DID call Trump to concede, a little before 3:00 A.M.

Did Alec Baldwin Help Make Donald Trump More Popular

ALEC BALDWIN's impression of DONALD TRUMP on "Saturday Night Live" was great.

But did it HELP Donald's popularity?  MICHAEL STIPE from R.E.M. was on Alec's radio show on WNYC, and he accused it of doing just that.  He called it brilliantly done satire, but said all the media attention added to Trump's publicity.

Interestingly, Alec said that when they offered him the job, his first instinct was to turn it down because in order to properly mimic someone, you have to have some appreciation for them.  And he has NONE for Trump.

But he said that a lot of people have thanked him for it because, quote, "They needed something to laugh about.  They needed a release."

As Expected, Celebrities Are in Meltdown Mode Over Trump's Surprise Success

If there was one group of people who were heavily in HILLARY CLINTON's corner, it was 'celebrities.'

And they went into MELTDOWN MODE over DONALD TRUMP's unexpected success last night.

Some talked about America being more sexist than racist, others talked about moving to Canada, and others shamed people for third party "protest votes."
