London Sewer Is Overwhelmed By Massive 130-Ton 'Fatberg'

A 130-ton giant ball of fat and trash is causing sewer problems in London.

Officials call it a “fatberg” – and it’s the largest Britain has ever seen.   This “fatberg” is as long as three football fields and is blocking an east London sewer. The head of London’s waste network calls the “fatberg” “a total monster.”

The “fatberg” is rock-solid, packed with old baby wipes, diapers, cooking fat, and oil.  It weighs as much as 10 double-decker buses.

Work to remove the massive “fatberg” started this week and involves an 8-man crew using jet hoses to break up the mass before sucking it out with a tanker. The crew says “It’s basically like trying to break up concrete.”

They are hoping to have the “fatberg” completely removed by next week.

Freaky Odds!

In New Jersey, two babies were delivered in the same Burger King parking lot within a day of each other.

Denville police responded to the fast food chain Friday night after reports that a woman was in labor. Rescuers helped her deliver a healthy baby boy.

The same officers were called back on Saturday for the same reason.  A different woman delivered another healthy baby boy. Cops say, in both cases, the expectant mothers were on their way to the hospital when they had to pull over.

Two Guys Get Busted Trying to Steal an Entire Telephone Pole After Hurricane Irma

Now THIS is some ambitious looting.

46-year-old Victor Apeler and 42-year-old Blake Waller went looting in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.  But they weren't just going to settle for stealing things like TVs or clothes . . . they had bigger dreams.

These guys tried to steal an entire metal TELEPHONE POLE.  Someone called the cops after they saw the guys strapping the giant pole to the top of their Kia SUV.  And it looked ridiculous up there, so the cops might've spotted them even without the tip.

The guys' plan was to sell it for scrap metal, but the cops stopped them before they could get too far and arrested them for grand theft.  Click here to see some pictures of just how ridiculous the pole looked on the SUV
