O.J. Simpson Could Be Released on Parole as Soon as Monday

O.J. Simpson could be released on parole as soon as Monday in Las Vegas.  O.J., who is 70-years-old, has spent 9-years behind bars for a 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping following a confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room. He was sentenced to up to 33 years behind bars.

The state parole board set Sunday, Oct. 1, as the date he becomes eligible for parole. Since that is a Sunday, his release won’t happen until Monday.

Hugh Hefner Has Died

HUGH HEFNER died yesterday of natural causes at the Playboy Mansion in L.A., surrounded by his loved ones.  He was 91 years old.

Hefner published the first "Playboy" magazine in 1953, complete with MARILYN MONROE as the centerfold. And yes, we've all told that joke about only reading it for the articles, but the truth is that "Playboy" always DID have amazing, thought-provoking content that had nothing to do with nude women . . .like interviews with Martin Luther King Jr., Bette Davis, and the Beatles.

His final resting place will be a crypt next to Marilyn Monroe's at the Westwood cemetery in Los Angeles.

Is Justin Timberlake Headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Rumor has it that the NFL has asked JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.  If it happens, it would be his first time back since the "Wardrobe Malfunction" with JANET JACKSON in 2004.

"Us" magazine says the NFL is "finalizing" the deal with Justin -- and unlike a lot of celebrity gossip, this story might be legit, because pretty much everyone is picking it up.  There aren't many concrete details.

Officially, the NFL says no decision has been made.
